Coffee with the Canons
Hey folks,
Come along with us on this new journey. Jack and Jennie will be doing periodic check-ins called Coffee with the Canons. In this new vlog, we’ll share progress updates on two new projects we’re working on simultaneously.
Jennie is working on her first book, exploring her experience as a Public Speaker, Leader, Mom, and Military Spouse. It’s now been 10 years since our family lost our son, Ian Scott Blair, to domestic violence. These 10 years have unfolded in a complex pattern of immense highs and lows, and Jennie will share the insights she’s gained as the steadfast anchor our family depended on during this time. From supporting a Combat Veteran husband to raising three children who had lost a sibling, Jennie has an immense amount of knowledge to share. She felt it was finally time to chronicle the journey our family has been on, highlighting resilience and growth through the expansion of time.
Jack is also using this 10th anniversary to work on a documentary highlighting the service of Post 9/11 / Global War On Terror service members and their families. The documentary kicks off the first week of June with filming and delves into the motivations behind joining the military, the costs of service, and the reflections of Veterans on what, if anything, they gain from their service. It’s an exploration of duty, sacrifice, and the passage of time.
The velocity of time has given us new equations to learn and master, and the passage of time has made us capable of envisioning and creating meaningful endeavors for the future - join us on this exploration of future self!
